Welcome to the Library!

Come in and visit Heritage Elementary School's Library.
Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 3:30 and Fridays from 8:30 - 2:15
Each teacher is scheduled to come into the library for 40 minutes each week. However, students are encouraged to come in before or after school to check books in or out and take quizzes.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Heritage Elementary School Library Media program is to “ensure that students…are effective users of ideas and information” (Information Power: Building Partnerships for Learning, 1998). The Heritage Library Media program accomplishes this by implementing educational programs that enrich and support students and staff at Heritage. It is the duty of the library staff to provide the school community with a wide range of materials and services that will encourage growth in knowledge, foster information literacy, and that will encourage a love of reading. The library strives to stimulate intellectual curiosity and to establish the habit of lifelong learning and continuing education through the proper use of information sources.
